About Kelly
Kelly Bayliss is an accomplished Massage Therapist and Bodywork Specialist, Licensed by the State of Wisconsin. She has a thirst for knowledge and a passion for practicing and improving her craft. Kelly combines her knowledge and skill in traditional deep tissue massage with the discipline of Thai Massage - a system of massage and manipulation developed in Thailand, influenced by Yoga and the traditional medicine systems of India, China, and Southeast Asia.
Kelly has been studying Thai Massage under Chuck Duff, owner of the “Thai Bodywork School of Thai Massage” In Evanston Illinois since 2008. Her training includes traditional Thai techniques with solid education in functional anatomy and trigger-point therapy to treat specific conditions. This Thai certification program is the most therapeutically sophisticated available anywhere in the world.
In an ongoing effort to increase her knowledge and skill, Kelly has participated in Gross Dissection and Kinesiology courses at Marquette College of Health Sciences under internationally renowned course director, Dr. Donald A. Neumann Ph.D., P.T. These courses provide a solid anatomical kinesiology basis for understanding normal and abnormal functions of the musculoskeletal system.
Massage is not about pampering and indulging oneself as much as it is about preventative healthcare. There is no single therapy which affects a condition of “dis-ease”. Kelly has discovered that it’s a combination of modalities, such as trigger point therapy, deep tissue work, Thai massage, Cupping and Gua Sha which brings her clients to say, “That was the best massage of my life!”
Raised in Alaska in a small Indian fishing village, her exposure to tribal beliefs has fostered an open-minded approach to the world of healing as a whole.
Kelly’s interest in bodywork began when she attended a Shiatsu workshop at a Sports conference in Miami in 2003. Shiatsu helped open her eyes to new possibilities...The body is the best healer!
Since then, Kelly has immersed herself in the world of bodywork, self-awareness, healing, and positive energy. She is known for providing her clients with empowering information to help educate them on how to improve their quality of life, at work and at home, in between bodywork sessions.
Kelly’s ultimate goal is to help as many people as possible feel better both mentally and physically. She has partnered with like-minded wellness providers throughout the Milwaukee area to maximize her reach and impact.
In Thai Massage it is said, “Don’t chase the pain”. Kelly has a special gift for discovering where one’s problem actually is rather than where the pain is perceived to exist
